We at Emory University are committed to producing graduates who will not only become the next generation of leaders,
but leaders with a strong moral and ethical foundation. We recognize that universities can be overwhelming and
difficult places to navigate, and that often knowledge of opportunities for growth and development comes too late
for many students. We are especially committed to helping students identify more explicit pathways for connecting and
sequencing their service activities, coursework, and research experiences in ways that allow for the accumulation of
knowledge and skills that lead to ever intensifying encounters that assist students in identifying and pursuing
appropriate career choices, especially those that promote social responsibility, civic engagement, and public service.
To meet those goals, the OUCP maintains the Community Partnerships Database which has been
designed to help students learn more about Emory's various engagements in the Greater Atlanta community through its
teaching, research, and service
activities. Our website also features a Help Wanted link where various opportunities for
student involvement (e.g., employment, internships, volunteer service) are regularly posted, an
Announcements link where information on service-related events are posted, and several
links to external sites with information on teaching, research, and service activities.
